Local Activities for Your Special Needs Child

At Special Haven we understand that it is difficult to think of activities and sports for your special needs child especially when you have school to think of, IEPs to prepare for, accommodations you need to work out, aides, teachers, etc to work out for your child to succeed.  And that is just the school related stuff, there is also all the home things to work out and daycare. And then there is finding activities for your child to do, which isn't always so easy to find.

So we thought that is would be great to create a
central location where families can go to find things for their child to do in the local community that is safe and fun. Our children are just like every other child, they need to play, they need to be around friends, and they need to feel just like everyone else.

We suggest trying all the activities below and then finding the one that fits best for your child.  Also, if you know of other services, activities, sports, etc in the area that we do not have listed, please send an email to info@specialhaven.org and get us the contact information so we can add it.

Below is a list of activities in the local area.
